Human Resources Associate

(Evanston, IL)

Pivot Point International, Inc., the world leader in hair and beauty education, is currently seeking a full time Human Resources Associate.  The HR Associate will assist with ongoing projects to support the company in downtown Evanston, IL.  This is an entry level position and may require minimal travel to our Chicagoland locations. 

The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree plus 1-2 years of professional HR experience in a diverse environment or the equivalent experience, is detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, and has intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  This person must be goal oriented with high energy and a positive outlook.

Job responsibilities include

  1. Coordinate bi-weekly payroll processing and accuracy.
  2. Coordinate all employee benefits administration on a monthly basis.
  3. Maintain all current and past employment data and files in accordance with government and company requirements.
  4. Participate in recruitment and new hire orientations.
  5. Track and generate reports consistently and accurately.
  6. Assist in handling customer questions and/or problems as needed.
  7. Perform any additional work as assigned by the HR Director in accordance with company standards.

Customer Support Specialist

(Evanston, IL)

Pivot Point International, Inc., the world leader in hair and beauty education, is currently seeking a Customer Support Specialist for our Domestic Sales Division.  If you have excellent communication skills and love working with clients, this may be the position for you.

The Customer Support Specialist will work directly with customers on a daily basis.  Using consultitative sales methods, this position helps drive revenue through building customer relationships and processing customer requests.  The CSS will use charisma and positive energy to build our business in these ever growing relationships.  The regular working schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 6:00pm, but some flexibility may be required.  Travel less than 10%.

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in sales, retail and/or customer service and/or a degree in business or related field.  The successful candidate will possess an excellent knowledge of MS Office, the ability to prove a team driven work history, and present a professional image.  Strong English communication skills are required, but bi-lingual abilities are a plus.

Salon Manager

(Evanston, IL)

Pivot Point International. Inc., the world leader in hair and beauty education, is currently seeking a Salon Manager who will report to the Academy Director of the Evanston Academy.

Major responsibilities include:
•Develop and maintain an environment that retains customers through strong customer care, retail sales and a unified understanding of the company vision.
• Supervise all clinic operations with Academy Director to ensure achievement of sales goals, business objectives and profitability.
• Train all Evanston Academy staff and students on customer service and retail needs as appropriate.
• Recommend and assist in the development of clinic marketing strategies to drive sales, to include planning/coordinating in-house promotions, community activities and outreach.

The qualified candidate will meet the following criteria:
• 5+ years management/sales experience in a high-volume retail ,beauty/spa or service environment.  Will be required to provide historical examples of increased revenue generation.
• Proof of active cosmetology/esthetics license required.
• Retail and product knowledge, with experience in developing promotional strategies.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, English required

Warehouse Associate (Picker/Packer)

Elk Grove Village, IL

Pivot Point International, Inc., the world leader in hair and beauty education, is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate (Picker/Packer) in our Warehouse facility located in Elk Grove Village, IL.

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking and packing.  This is a regular full time position working approximately 40 hours per week.  The schedule is Monday through /Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with mandatory overtime during the busy season. 

The ideal candidate will have a background in warehousing, UPS knowledge, receiving experience and/or picking/packing experience, and a valid Illinois driver’s license.  Ability to lift 50 lbs is required.

Cosmetology Education Director

Evanston, IL (Corporate)

Pivot Point International, the world leader in hair and beauty education, is seeking an experienced, strategically focused, high level Cosmetology Education Director to work with a team of exceptionally creative individuals in three Chicagoland Academies (office located in Evanston, IL).

The Cosmetology Education Director is responsible for the developing and managing of education delivery for all corporately owned academies as well as education skill assessment and training.  Field evaluation schedules will be executed by the CED.  This inspirational leader also works closely with the Academy Operations Department in relation to hiring highly qualified educators and maintaining excellent student satisfaction.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years teaching cosmetology, 3 years high level managing experience and a current professional cosmetology license. The qualified candidate will have experience with the recruiting, hiring and training of professional cosmetology educators and demonstrated success and motivational testimony in the delivery of Pivot Point Education.  The successful candidate will work well with deadlines, prove noticeably strong written and verbal communication skills, be versatile and adaptable, and know how to sustain a uniquely diverse and passionate environment.  An ideal candidate will be familiar with developing educational curriculum, budgeting and DOE compliance.  Esthetics working and/or teaching experience a plus.
