Research indicates that 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 10 boys will be sexually victimized before adulthood Since 1984, NCMEC has worked with law enforcement on more than 138,400 missing children cases and played a role in reuniting more than 121,500 children with their families. In addition, 2,000 children are reported missing every day. With such staggering statistics, it is more important than ever that parents and guardians teach children how to stay safe. And teaching families about child safety is a key focus of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

On May 21, 2008, in honor of NATIONAL MISSING CHILDREN’S DAY, Pivot Point International, its affiliated Member Schools, and AACS schools across the country, will be holding a nationwide cut-a-thon to raise money for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. In addition, we will be holding events throughout the year in honor of the NCMEC, with a targeted goal of raising $100,000 by the end of the year!
