Social & Environmental Responsibility
At Pivot Point, we believe we have a responsibility to people and the planet. Currently, we are on a journey to promote sustainability in our academies, student salons and spas, and our offices. We are also active in our community.
Pivot Point in the Community: Giving Back
Students and staff in our academies and corporate offices partner with us to support the following events:
Pivot Point Cares For Kids

Pivot Point Cares for Kids, in conjunction with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), organizes an annual, May cut-a-thon with schools across the country. To date, Pivot Point has raised nearly $1 million from cut-a-thons donations for hair, skin and nail services, as well as individual contributions.
Cancer Survivor Beauty & Support Day (CSBSD)

Almost since its inception by Barbara Paget in 2003, Pivot Point has participated in Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day. Every year, on the first Tuesday in June. Pivot Point staff and students volunteer their time and skills to perform services on cancer survivors and those living with the disease.

Pivot Point and the Environment: Making It First Nature
Pivot Point is committed to the 5 Rs: respect, rethink, reduce, reuse, recycle. Because being a steward of our beautiful planet is a natural extension of being a beauty professional, Pivot Point has implemented new sustainability practices in its academies and offices. These practices complement the Pivot Point educational method, which was founded on the inspiration provided to us by the natural world’s forms, textures and colors. We currently practice recycling in all our facilities from the corporate offices, to the academy, student salon and spa, and our warehouse. Our sustainability efforts continue to expand and our goal is to prepare knowledgeable stylists who practice green behaviors in the salon because it’s not their second nature, it’s their first.
